Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal and its fans have come under severe shock after the medical system announced the extent of injuries to some players, led by Al-Zaim’s first captain Salem Al-Dosari.
Saudi Arabia’s recent run at the World Cup finals witnessed injuries to many players such as Salem Al-Dossari and Hassan Timbukti, the Al-Hilal duo.
A statement released by Al Hilal explained that Salem Al Dosari will undergo a medical on Monday, July 20, by specialist Dr Limpainen to monitor his hamstring injury.
The extent of his need for surgery will be determined once the test results are available, while his treatment and rehabilitation program is expected to take 6 to 8 weeks.

Regarding Miteb Al-Harbi, the medical team stated that the football player will undergo eye surgery in the next few days and that he will be ready to participate in the preparatory program for the next sports season.
As for defender Hasan Timbukti, medical tests have indicated that he will need 6 to 7 weeks of treatment and a rehabilitation program after he ruptured a tendon in his right leg while playing for Saudi Arabia at the 2026 World Cup.
This medical check-up comes as part of Al Hilal’s preparations for next season, given the efforts of the technical and medical staff to prepare injured players and ensure their fitness before the start of official competition.
