Crystal Palace Celta Vigo have signed defender Oscar Mingueza on a free transfer, subject to international clearance.
The 27-year-old Spaniard has joined Palace on a four-year deal in new head coach Pierre Sage’s first summer signing.
Mingueza is a product of Barcelona’s La Masia academy and has made 66 appearances for the club since making his senior debut in 2020.
The versatile defender then joined Celta Vigo in 2022, where he scored seven goals and provided 15 assists in 147 appearances.
Mingueza said it was “an honour” to join Palace and added he was “really excited” at Selhurst Park.
He has been capped four times by Spain, but was not included in manager Luis de la Fuente’s 26-man squad for this summer’s World Cup.
