France captain Kylian Mbappe grabbed the attention on the night with an unanswered brace in the 2026 World Cup quarter-final win over Morocco.
The veteran French striker managed to score the first goal in the 60th minute with a rocket shot that Yassin Bounu could not save.
Despite the outstanding level displayed by the stars of the French national team, Mbappe was, as always, the most popular player in the system. But how did he do it?

Mbappé’s continuous movement forced the Moroccan defense back and created spaces for his teammates, once again confirming that he is not just a goalscorer, but rather a tactical element who can create danger in a variety of ways.
Dismantling Moroccan lines
Mbappe was France’s most positive player in goal as he looked like a horse darting to the finish line, but Bono’s brilliance prevented him from scoring more than once.
But Mbappe only needed a little space in front of the box to hit the net, which Morocco clearly allowed, leaving space for the France star who received the ball on the edge of the box and fired a thunderous rocket into the net.
Mbappe’s goal looked like dismantling Morocco’s conglomerate lines, after which the Lions rushed for an equaliser, but it was an adventure in the face of a devastating Roosters attack as Ousmane Dembele capitalized on the space to score the first.

FIFA decided to give Mbappé the best player award in Morocco and France, considering that he scored one goal and converted the same.

In the current championship of the World Cup, Mbappe regained the first place with 8 goals, equaling the Argentinian Lionel Messi.
