Google will tell you if the ad was created by AI

You can see if the ads on Google Search, Google Discover, and YouTube were generated or modified using AI from the new section in “My Ad Center” of Google, as we said before and Results TechCrunch. The changes, announced on Thursday, add “created or modified by AI” under the tab “how the product was created”. Users can access it by clicking the three dots or the notification button on the ad, which pulls them to the same panel where you can block or report the ad.

Google says it will only apply the AI ​​tag to any ads generated by its AI marketing tools, but AI ads generated elsewhere will need to manually enter the tag. In some areas, Google’s new AI labels “may also appear directly in ads,” either automatically or whenever an advertiser discloses that their ad was created by AI.
