Sudan war: ICC tells BBC about success in war crimes investigation


The ICC has been investigating war crimes in Darfur More than 20 years since the last round of attacks in the 2000s.

Ali Muhammad Ali Abd-Al-Rahman was a senior official of the Janjaweed, a government-sponsored militia targeting Darfuri civilians who are not part of the country’s majority Arab population.

Janjaweed is one of the groups that evolved into the RSF, which was once aligned with the Sudanese army, but is now fighting.
