Wimbledon 2026 results: Defending champions Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool knocked out

Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool’s men’s doubles title defense ended at Wimbledon as they lost in straight sets in the quarter-finals.

Third-seeded Cash and Glasspool became the first All-British pair Win the men’s doubles title 89 years at the All England Club when they won the 2025 final.

But they missed out on a place in this year’s semi-finals after losing 6-2 7-6 (7-2) to El Salvador’s Marcelo Arevalo and sixth seed Mate Pavic of Croatia.

Arevalo and Pavic are aiming to complete the Queens-Wimbledon double this year – just as Cash and Glasspool did last year.

The pair needed just 74 minutes on court to dismiss Cash and Glasspool, who could not make the most of two break points.

Their defeat means Henry Patten is the only Brit left in the doubles draw.

Patten and Finnish partner Harry Heliovara, the 2024 All England Club champion, will face American Aleksandar Kovacevic and Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis for a place in Thursday’s final.

The top-seeded pair began the year by winning their second major title at the Australian Open and will now look to reach a fourth Slam final.
