Count Benface: The candidate wants to run against Farage

After it was announced that Reform UK leader Nigel Farage would be leaving his Cloughton constituency to run, serial candidate Count Benface posted online: “On the Game, NiJ”.

Jonathan Harvey, who dresses as Bean, spoke to the BBC’s Justin Webb and Nick Robinson on Wednesday’s Today programme.

He is one of the few people to say he will run against Farage in the race after Labour, the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats said they would not field candidates.

“Find at least one affordable house, nationalize Adele and bring back Cefax,” Benface said when asked about his policies.

Other candidates have not yet confirmed their participation in the race.
