Emmy Nominations 2026: Pitt Leads Nominations

US medical drama The Pit and comedy Hacks lead the nominations for this year’s Emmy Awards, America’s most coveted television awards.

Pitt received a total of 25 nominations, closely followed by Hacks’ final season with 24.

British stars in the running include Matthew Rhys – the only person to be nominated for two leading actor awards (for Widow’s Bay and The Beast In Me); There are also nominations for fellow countrymen Riz Ahmed (Bait), Carey Mulligan (Bull), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses) and Rufus Sewell (The Diplomat).

However, there was no place for late favorite shows Stranger Things or Euphoria in the list of nominees for the best drama of the 78th Emmy Awards.
