Barcelona have their hands on the La Liga title and are waiting for Real Madrid to slip up
FC Barcelona put their hands on the Spanish league title after a hard-fought 2-1 win over hosts Osasuna in the 34th round of the competition on Saturday night.
The football players of both teams could not score a goal in the entire first half, which ended in a goalless draw.
Barca manager Hansi Flick has brought in a front trio of Marcus Rashford, Ferran Torres and Frenkie de Jong to boost attacking activity in return for the departures of Xavi, Dani Olmo and Ronny Barji.
Robert Lewandowski scored the first goal for “Barcelona” in the 81st minute.
Five minutes later, substitute Ferran Torres increased the advantage of the Catalan giants with a second goal.
“Osasuna” reduced the score difference with Raul Garcia’s header in the 89th minute.
Barcelona’s score at the top of La Liga rose to 88 points, while Osasuna’s score dropped 42 points to tenth place.
Barcelona can officially clinch the La Liga title if Real Madrid slip up against Espanyol on Sunday night, either with a draw or a loss.
