Boy ‘brought back to life’ by rescuers at Bringaw Country Park


A father-of-two saved a toddler from drowning before two nurses rescued him from a Welsh beauty spot.

Stephan Johnson, who got into the water three weeks ago, was on a refreshing lesson. The incident at Bryngarw Country Park in Bridgend.

Stefan initially thought the toddler was swimming, before reality “clicked” and he jumped in and pulled him out.

“I was in the zone. It’s like I need to stay calm, I need to focus,” he explained, then struggled to find a pulse on his son.
