Michigan is seeing an outbreak of diarrheal pathogens with more than 700 cases



Cases of stomach-causing diarrhea have exploded in Michigan over the past two weeks in an outbreak that has no known source.

As of July 6, the state has received reports of more than 700 cases since June 22, as well as 36 hospitals, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHSS) told Ars Technica on Tuesday.

On June 30, the Department of Health reported 170 caseswhich went up to 572 on July 4.
