Russian chess legend Garry Kasparov has blasted after Egypt’s team bowed out of the 2026 World Cup, accusing FIFA of corruption.
Egypt’s national team bowed out of the 2026 World Cup in the quarter-finals after taking a 2-0 lead after losing 2-3 to Argentina at the Atlanta Stadium on Tuesday.
Kasparov wrote in his personal account on the “X” website. “An incredible Egyptian goal was disallowed by a long error.”

He concluded. “FIFA looks like a corrupt joke once again and favors the stars.”
