Wayne Rooney believes Jude Bellingham’s performance against Mexico was reminiscent of Steven Gerrard and Roy Keane’s heroic Champions League displays.

The Real Madrid star produced his best performance in the last game, denying Mexico’s defender Cesar Montes a certain goal, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
“Sometimes defensively he’s not always in the right place, but his desire to get back in and put that last-minute tackle in and make his teammates maybe the best play was everything,” Rooney added.
“When you’re asked to give a mark out of ten, you think, right, could he have done a little more to get that mark?
“I felt like giving it a 10 out of 10 was a fair play for him.”
