French President Emmanuel Macron met with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa in Damascus after two explosions near his hotel. The visit, which is the first by an EU leader since the ouster of Bashar al-Assad, focused on rebuilding Syria and rebuilding relations with Europe.
