76ers, Embiid completes 3-1 comeback by defeating Celtics

Philadelphia went on a 14-3 run to take an 18-point lead in the third quarter, but Boston answered early in the fourth quarter, cutting the 76ers’ lead on several occasions — including when Brown scored to pull the Celtics within 97-96 with 5:02 left to play.

But Boston missed nine shots in a row, five of which would have given the Celtics the lead or tie, before Maxey scored eight points in the final two minutes to seal the victory.
