A Milford Haven teacher ‘feared she was going to die’ during a student attack, a court heard

A teacher who stabbed a pupil in the head with a large kitchen knife feared she would die, a court heard.

The 16-year-old followed Vicky Williams into class at Milford Haven Comprehensive School in Pembrokeshire and asked for help with his history work.

Swansea Crown Court heard “Knock” with a knife.punched her in the head and pushed her into a chair.

Williams told jurors she believed she was going to die, thinking, “I’m going to die, I’m never going to see my daughter again.”

The teenager, who cannot be named due to his age, He denied the assassination attemptHe also admitted wounding with intent and unlawful wounding, but had previously been in possession of a knife.

On the second day of the trial, Williams told jurors that she had taught the boy earlier that day and that he was “perfectly fine” in that lesson.

She said she could not recall any previous problems with him and believed he was doing well.

She said it was unusual for him to come to her class to explain his work and that he was a “low-performing kid” but agreed that he might have had a “wake-up call” after the prank tests.

As he described the time leading up to the shooting, Williams asked the defendant to help him with his history, repeatedly asking, “Is that right?” As he suggests in his book.

“He’s always rummaging in his bag, not looking at (the book),” Williams said.

“It’s a trick to keep me talking. Then he’s trying to sneak in. It’s a slow move to try and go behind me.”

The teacher said the teenager “took something out of the bag” and knocked her into her chair, adding, “I looked up and the knife was down.”

“It felt really hard, like a lot of pressure. As he made a stabbing motion, I grabbed the knife.

“The look was pure hate, the eyes, they were pure hate, they were definitely not empty.”
