Wigan Warriors emerged victorious in a chaotic, stormy and thrilling derby with St Helens as a magical weekend ended with a bang at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Saints held a narrow half-time lead after Jackson Hastings’ penalty goal, then tries were exchanged, with Adam Keighran going over for Wigan and Jack Davies replying for Paul Rowley’s side.

Wigan scored second-half tries through Joy Field and Adam Eckersley, but Jack Welsby reduced the deficit late on.
