The Algerian player is considered one of the most outstanding stars of “Al-Ahly” this season
Algerian Riyad Mahrez, Al-Ahly Jeddah star, team surgeon depth after the El Clasico he played against Al-Nasr of the Saudi Roshen League.
Al-Ahly lost 2-0 to Al-Nasr in the thirtieth round of the Roshen League at Al-Awal Park last Wednesday.
The result was not the only loss for Al-Jedawi’s team as they also lost several players in their next game, which will see them host Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium in the thirty-first round of the Roshen League tomorrow, Sunday.

The latest of these absences was Algerian star Riyad Mahrez, as Saudi journalist Waleed Said confirmed that Al-Ahli Jeddah coach German Matthias Jeisle decided to drop him from the squad to allow him to rest.
Mahrez will be the fifth absentee for Al Ahli’s Al-Akhdoud clash with Al-Nasr Clasico, as the first absentee was Brazilian winger Henderson Gallino due to injury in the last game.

England striker Ivan Toney and midfielder Ziad Al-Juhani are also absent due to card accumulation, in addition to Turkish defender Merih Demiral, who has been suspended for one match for the events following El Clasico.
Notably, Al-Ahli are playing to keep alive their last and elusive hope of winning the Saudi Arabian League title as they sit third in the table with 66 points, 13 behind Al-Nasr with a game more to play.
