Wakefield Trinity ran in nine tries as they beat Castleford Tigers at Hill Dickinson Stadium to boost their Super League top four hopes.

Daryl Powell’s side have recorded six wins in their last seven matches to move up to third place with 24 points.

Castleford were a mess and Wakefield took full advantage as Cameron Scott, Tom Johnstone and Caleb Hamlin-Well scored twice each.

Lachlan Walmsley, Tyson Smoothy and Josh Rourke scored Wakefield’s other tries before Jason Karrekare avoided complete humiliation for Castleford just over a minute from time.
