In the video, Salah claims exclusive honor for the Liverpool legend

The Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the star of “Liverpool”, called to honor one of the legends of the “Reds” on the last day of the English Premier League.

While the Anfield fans’ attention on May 24 will be on Salah himself, who will bid farewell to the club after nine title-filled years, he wants to share a farewell moment with Jordan Henderson.

Henderson is set to return to Anfield with his current club Brentford, who could challenge for European qualification in the final round.

Henderson spent 12 years with Liverpool and was a key element in their 2019-2020 Premier League title win.

Henderson didn’t get a proper farewell

Henderson didn't get a proper farewell

Speaking on TNT Sports’ The Breakdown with ex-Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, Salah said Henderson deserved the fans’ appreciation after he was not given the respect he deserved due to his sudden departure to Saudi Arabia in 2023.

“The people of Liverpool know how much it means to have Henderson here as club captain for 12 years, more than me, more than Virgil van Dijk, more than Andy Robertson, more than anyone else,” Salah said.

He added: “Henderson didn’t get a proper farewell because he left so suddenly, so I don’t know how the club will deal with this.”

“I don’t have a plan and I don’t know how the fans will deal with it, but I really hope they do something special for him because he was one of the best players at this club and without him in the dressing room we wouldn’t have achieved what we have achieved.”

“I hope the fans will say goodbye to him. This is Liverpool and that’s how we do it.”
