Chinese underground church man Jin Mingri released from prison.

The leader of the underground church, Jin Mingri, was released from Chinese prison And he traveled to the US, less than two months after his detention was lifted by Donald Trump.

The founder and pastor of Zion Church was jailed in China in October following overnight raids that Christian groups described as one of the harshest crackdowns on religious movements in the country’s modern history.

The Chinese government tightly controls religion and officially promotes atheism.

Jin’s family thanked their supporters in a statement, adding, “We have truly witnessed a miracle and are filled with joy.” China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not officially commented on the matter.

The family thanked the US president and the Trump administration for their “amazing leadership” and said they “know this cannot happen with direct intervention from Chinese President Xi Jinping.”

“We hope this is a positive change for people who believe in China and the relationship between the two countries.”

Human rights group ChinaAid, which monitors religious persecution, confirmed that Ezra Jin, known as Ezra Jin, had entered the United States in Los Angeles following Jin’s release.

Founder Bob Fu welcomed his release, but “countless” clerics, including eight Zionist Church members, are still in prison in China.

The Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China, a group of Western lawmakers that includes dozens of UK MPs, said it was “delighted” by the news.

During a direct conversation between the two when Trump was in Beijing for a state visit in May, he urged Jin’s release.

The US president later said he was “thinking strongly of the pastor.”

Trump lifted the arrest of pro-democracy Hong Kong media tycoon Jimmy, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison earlier this year for colluding with foreign powers under the city’s controversial national security law.

Jin started Zion Church in 2007 with only 20 people. It has grown into one of the largest unregistered churches in China, with about 10,000 people in 40 cities across the country.

In 2018, he was officially banned by the Chinese Communist Party after protesting a government push to install security cameras at his property in Beijing.

Since then, most branches across the country have been investigated and closed.

Christians have been forced to join only state-sanctioned churches run by state-sanctioned pastors and party-line toes.

Last October, 30 church leaders were reportedly arrested in a raid overnight.

Following this, a similar action was taken against another church in January, and nine people were arrested.
