Cranley Man, 91, completes skydive for community group

A 91-year-old man completed a skydive and raised £5,000 for a local support group.

Allen also completed a community skydive at the Rowleys Center in Cranleigh, Surrey, describing the experience as “absolutely fun”.

“I’ll never forget getting out of that plane and falling in the air, but it all ended so quickly.”

Rowleys staff who support local residents visited Alan to thank him and present him with a special award.

They gave him a special “thank you” gift with a picture of a skydive to remind him every time he drinks tea.

Still, he said: “I never thought I’d be doing something like this at 91, but I’m having so much fun that I’m planning more exciting adventures now.”

He said he would like to complete a 100 mph (160.9 km/h) zip wire in Wales for the next challenge.

He added: “It gives me something to do and I love fun, so why not?”
