The Spanish star admits. I don’t know how to control Ronaldo

Spain goalkeeper Unai Simon has spoken about Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo’s chances ahead of the two teams’ clash in the last 16 of the World Cup tomorrow, Monday.

Simon said in a statement AS newspaper “Do you have a special plan to stop Cristiano? Ronaldo today is not what he was 6 or 7 years ago at Real Madrid or in his prime.

“But Ronaldo should be kept away from the penalty area as much as possible. In the Nations League final, he received one ball and scored it.

He noted: “I don’t think this can be Cristiano Ronaldo’s last dance. The most important thing is to focus on the meeting. This is the key.”

“Ronaldo knows how to find solutions on his own in the penalty area, how to create spaces for himself and reach balls. I don’t know how to control him, because his vast experience makes him fully understand what to do and how to move.”

“If Ronaldo enters the penalty area, he becomes very determined. He likes to position himself in the penalty area and also likes to move towards the near post. He reads these situations very well, so we have to keep him out of our area as much as possible.”
