British Superbike: Glenn Irwin airlifted to hospital after crash at Snetterton

Glenn Irwin has been disqualified from racing after a crash in Saturday’s British Superbike opening race at Snetterton.

Irwin was transferred to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with pelvic pain after the four-rider incident on either side of the opening lap and will undergo further assessment.

The Nitrous Competitions Ducati rider was also involved in a crash at Snetterton in 2025, ending his hopes of a championship challenge.

The race was restarted on lap 14 and Bradley Ray was declared the winner for his seventh straight win when a red flag stopped the race again on the final lap.

Hager PBM’s Scott Redding finished 0.272 seconds back in second, with championship leader Kyle Ryder a further three seconds back in third.
