Al Hilal Al Saud goalkeeper writes history
Morocco goalkeeper Yassin Bounou continues to make history for the Atlas Lions after he looks to achieve another feat against Canada in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup.
Morocco coach Mohamed Webe has announced the official Lions lineup to face Canada, which saw Bono in goal to continue his major presence with the national team at the tournament, maintaining his position as one of the team’s most important pillars.
An appearance against Team Canada would give the Moroccan goalkeeper a historic record as he took his tally to 95 international caps, placing him third on the Atlas Lions all-time capped list.
Bono shared third place with Moroccan legend Ahmed Fares, who has 94 international caps, before the Saudi Al Hilal goalkeeper officially overtook him with the start of the Canada game.

The veteran goalkeeper hopes to celebrate his historic record by leading Morocco to the quarter-finals of the World Cup and continue to write a new chapter in his illustrious career with his country’s national team.
