The English club “Watford” announced today, Saturday, that the young Moroccan player Othman Maama won the award for the best young player of the current season 2025-2026.
The honor came in recognition of his outstanding performance during the season as he established himself as one of the most popular young talents in the Championship League club’s ranks at all levels with the team.
In the current season, Mama participated in 25 matches, during which she scored 4 goals and one assist.

The young star has also missed 19 matches, including 7 due to commitments with Morocco’s under-20 team at the World Youth Championship in Chile, and 12 due to injury.

Foot Mercato confirmed last month that Watford have given Ousmane Maama permission to leave this summer. Its market value is approximately 15 million euros.
According to the same website, “Several clubs in the French league have contacted Maa’s agents, given his special qualities. The same goes for many clubs in the English Premier League.”
The 20-year-old player is looking forward to participating in the 2026 World Cup with the Moroccan national team.

Notably, Ousmane Maama previously won the man of the match award at the U-20 World Cup finals in Chile and was instrumental in helping Morocco win the World Cup last October.
