Al Hilal are competing with AC Milan to complete a deal for the Barcelona star

Serious steps

“Al Hilal” club entered into intensive negotiations and presented the best financial offer to acquire the “Barcelona” midfielder. Marc Casado, who is included by the Catalan club as one of those offered for sale in the current transfer window.

The Spanish “Marca” newspaper reports.Barcelona management are planning to sell Casado after the player’s role and participation fell significantly last season compared to his first season, and the indicators do not look positive for his improvement in the new season, especially since technical director Hansi Flick will rely entirely on Xavi and Bernal after a gradual return from injury, meaning that Casado’s chances of playing will be reduced to a small percentage.

The club and the player agreed a few weeks ago that leaving was the best decision for both parties, and that desire has been passed on to his agent Jorge Mendes to look for a new direction in the transfer market, who has been working on this file for weeks, and although there are several offers on the table, Al Hilal is the club that has applied the most pressure and made the best offer so far.

Casado is hesitant to decide on his move to the Rushen League because he is fully aware that it is a huge economic opportunity given the high salaries offered there, but he has some doubts about whether this decision is the best for his sports career. However, the player has shown more flexibility and openness to this option over the past few days.

The options available to the Spanish midfielder are not limited to the Saudi offer, with several European clubs exploring the possibility of signing him, including AC Milan, while Atletico Madrid were initially interested in signing him before he backed out and lost interest in completing the deal.

Barcelona are now waiting for better offers, and despite the desire of the administration to close the sale by June 30 to include the profit in the financial budget of the previous season, it preferred to give more time to the file in the hope of receiving higher financial offers, since the sports administration estimates the player’s value at around 30 million euros, including fixed and variable amounts, especially if the deal with the Saudi side is completed.

The Catalan club’s management are trying to settle the deal once and for all this week, with the squad set to return to training on Monday, July 13. Although this date is not a mandatory requirement, Barcelona prefers to solve the problem by not joining the collective preparations of the footballer.
