The Pharaohs team rose to 24th place in the FIFA Provisional Ranking during the tournament with 1,597.04 points, after scoring 12.34 points at the expense of Australia in qualifying.

Since the start of the 2026 World Cup, the Arab team has so far jumped 5 places, starting the tournament in 29th place.

The jump came thanks to a win over New Zealand, the team’s first ever World Cup win, and draws with Belgium and Iran, who are ranked ahead of them.
