At the Anfield Stadium show, students perform for the Foo Fighters

A group of schoolchildren performed live on stage for Foo Fighters ahead of the band’s Merseyside show – pictures shared by millions on Instagram.

Thousands of fans turned out at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium last week as the American rockers kicked off their European tour with two nights in the city.

But before their first show on Thursday, the rockers were treated to a performance of their own – The Bell Tower Beats, when the band from Anfield Road Primary School took to the stage to perform the band’s hit singles.

“It was a lot of fun playing for the Foo Fighters. I’ve never played in front of anyone before,” said young band member Sean. BBC North West Tonight.

Foo Fighters have since shared the special moment with millions of followers on Instagram and YouTube., External.

Members of the Bell Tower Beats said they practiced “Loads” before their first stadium game and were excited to play with such a household name.

Alyssa said of the Foo Fighters, “I love how energetic they are and how much they have when they perform on stage.
