Set medical date for new Saudi Al-Ahly deal

Third after Abu Bakr and Mishal Al-Muteiri

Media reports reveal the date for the new Saudi Al-Ahly signing to undergo a medical in preparation for the official completion of his contract.

According to “Arménie Football” network, the medical examination of Eduard Spirtsyan, an Armenian star from the city of Krasnodar, Russia, is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026.

The network noted that the Krasnodar captain will sign a contract with Al-Ahly, extending it for three seasons, after passing a medical before the official announcement of the deal.

Spratsyan will join the team’s camp in Austria next week to start preparing for the new season with his teammates.

The 26-year-old midfielder is expected to earn €10 million a year, in addition to incentives and bonuses tied to performance and achievements.

Spertsyan rose to prominence with Krasnodar in the 2025-2026 season, where he participated in 42 matches in various competitions, scoring 14 goals and 18 assists, becoming one of the most popular stars of the Russian league.

The player’s contract with “Krasnodar” is scheduled until the summer of 2029, and his market value is 25 million euros, according to “Transfermarkt” website.

This is Spirz’s third signing for Al-Ahly this summer, following Gambian defender Abu Bakr Sidi Kente from Norway’s Tromsø and Mishal Al-Mutair from Abha.
