King Charles participated in the historic Jedburgh handball

The game begins with the Jedburgh ribbon tossing the ball into the scrum between the two teams.

While the Donnies try to take the ball to Jadewater, a team, the Apes, try to take the ball to the City Castle.

Jetar Kalant Club President Charlie Young explained the history of illegal sports to the King during the match.

He said: “King Charles was shocked when the game swung in his direction and a few security men had to get a little closer.

“But what an honor it is for us to be able to play the King with the ball up.”
