This series of LGBTQ+-themed short films continues with Meat Raffle, a funny story about a close-knit father who is afraid that his son might also change. His way of dealing with this is unusual to say the least: he’s trying to prove he’s a man by stealing Christmas decorations from his pub. PH

Nosferatu the Vampyre (Werner Herzog, 1979) 12.40 am, Talking Pictures TV

It may have been overshadowed by Robert Eggers’ 2024 film, but the 1979 homage to FW Murnau’s 1922 silent masterpiece is still among the best vampire horror movies of all time. Herzog’s frequent assistant Klaus Kinski plays the immortal number with unusual methods, while the French actress Isabelle Adjani is perfectly cast as a victim of blood, caught between her immediate disgust and her greater desire. It is the photos, however, that remain, including 11,000 live rats and dead bodies from the 1833 cholera epidemic. Ellen E Jones
