Right-back Pedro Porro added to Spain’s lead by scoring the second goal against Austria in the round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Thursday night.
With this goal, which was scored in the 66th minute, the Spanish national team achieved an achievement that had been missed for more than three decades, as it scored two goals in one game in the knockout stages of the World Cup for the first time since the victory over Switzerland (3-0) in the last 16 of the 1994 World Cup.
