World Cup 2026: England fans face ticket price of at least £2,600 to play Mexico

The cheapest single ticket was $295 (£224) with supporter price tickets listed at $3,000 (£2,280). On top of FIFA’s purchase fee, the price is £2,622 – almost 12 times the face value.

A total of 63 tickets were received in the three ‘supporter’ categories. It is unclear whether these seats are part of the allocation sold to England supporters’ traveling clubs.

In four categories, the cheapest with a face value of $170 (£129), the total cost of a ticket is $5,175 (£3,933) – 30 times the face value.

A category three ticket on the upper level, originally priced at $350 (£266), is listed at $3,600 (£2,736). The charge was $4,140 (£3,146) after FIFA’s purchase fee of $450 (£342).

Category Two stands at $4,830 (£3,671) from a face value of $450 (£342).

The cheapest Category One ticket costs $1,595 (£1,212), the price is $5,905 (£4,488).

There are more expensive listings on the FIFA resale site, these prices are set by the seller and may be reduced.

A Category One ticket in the lower bowl, originally priced at $1,064 (£809), is listed at $31,712 (£24,101) – and a FIFA fee of $4,757 (£3,615) above.

The cheapest ticket available on SeatGeek, an independent marketplace where people can list and sell tickets, was $3,887 (£2,954), including fees.

This is in the same area as three tickets in the FIFA resale category, which have a face value of $350 (£266).

Hotel prices in Mexico City are much cheaper than in the US, but a wide range of rooms are available for under £80 for two nights around the fixture.
