Wimbledon 2026: Naomi Broady, whether Swan, Fearnley, Ferry and Choinski can build on SW19 wins

Age: 23

Level: 114

Who does he play? Finland’s Otto Virtanen is ranked 140th

I think the grass is probably Arthur’s best page.

To be good on grass, you traditionally need to be super tall and ‘servobot’, or you need a low center of gravity to move and get under the ball when you’re low.

At just under 6 feet, Arthur falls into the latter category.

His movement is second to none and his craft is excellent. I love how fast he moves forward in his start on grass.

He rushes to the net to end the rally. He has good volleys but it helps to be very close to the net when making contact.

Arthur played well against Queens and got to the quarter finals, but I think he ran out of steam against Eastbourne where he lost in the second round.

I don’t think they’ll mind him going out a little early now.

He spent a few more days preparing for Wimbledon and in the men’s draw, Otto was beaten in five sets by the biggest shocker of American fourth seed Ben Shelton.

That’s not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.

Sometimes following a big victory is more difficult than getting the first victory itself, so Arthur must support himself to push Virtan.
