Rojiblancos official statement
Atletico Madrid have announced that their captain Koke will continue to make history with the red and white team after extending his contract until June 30, 2027.
The club issued a statement on its official platforms, which says: “Our captain will continue to play for the Rojiblancos throughout the 2026-27 season, which officially begins on the weekend of August 16.”
He continued. “Jorge Ressurrecho (Coque) made his debut for the first team on 19 September 2009 and since then he has worn the number 6 shirt in 740 official games, scoring 50 goals and providing 122 assists.
“Regardless of his individual statistics, Koke is one of the most decorated players in the history of Atletico Madrid. Together we won eight titles: two Spanish Leagues, one Copa del Rey, two Europa Leagues, two European Super Cups and one Spanish Super Cup.
He revealed that Koke is now second only to Adelardo, who has won 10 titles with Atletico during his career.
Koke will continue to lead the captain of Atletico Madrid next season ❤️🤍

“Jorge Revolve will continue to carry the Atlético Madrid captain with the courage and determination that characterizes him. The legend continues. Congratulations, Koke!
Koke’s contract included a clause that allowed the club to extend if the player exceeded a certain number of appearances, which actually happened, according to an earlier report by Mundo Deportivo.
Koke’s most obvious goal next season, apart from winning a major title, will be to reach 800 games for Atletico Madrid, after 700 last season.
