Steve Salvin has left Exeter to become Wales forwards coach ahead of WXV

Salvin, who was previously with Rotherham, Leeds Carnegie and Worcester Warriors, joined Exeter in 2021 and was part of the coaching team that helped them reach the PWR finals in 2022 and 2023.

Former Wales and Ospreys center Ashley Beck was named interim attack coach for the Six Nations and was part of Lynn’s staff for the Ba-Bas fixture.

Lynn, who has won just one in 15 Tests, welcomed Salvin’s permanent appointment.

“Steve is a coach I know and respect well from my time at PWR, but I was really impressed with his technical skills and his rapport with the players in the women’s game,” said the Wales head coach.

“He made a real impact in a very short time during the recent Six Nations, and I’m delighted that he will now be on board full-time with Wales.”
