A patient tested negative after an Ebola alert was received at a Glasgow hospital.

A suspected Ebola patient at a Glasgow hospital has tested negative, sources have told the BBC.

After the patient was admitted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) early on Tuesday, precautionary measures were taken.

If confirmed, the outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda in May would be the first in the UK.
