Not the coach… a strange reason to delay Al-Nasr’s preparations for the new season

The start of Al-Nasr Club’s preparations for the new 2026-2027 football season has been delayed, but this was not due to the absence of the technical director currently leading the team.

Portuguese Jorge Jesus announced his resignation from the coaching job of “Al-Nasr” after the end of the last season, until now the Saudi club has not announced the coach who will lead the team in the next season.

He said Saudi Al-Riyadiya newspaper Al-Nasr’s preparations for the new season were due to start next Friday, but were delayed by 48 hours due to ongoing maintenance work at Dar Al-Nasr Stadium.

The camp will begin next Sunday at the Al-Nasr Club Stadium in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi ArabiaIt will last for 9 days before traveling to Abha city for another 9 days for another camp which will be at the Damac Club Stadium.

After completing domestic preparations, Al-Nasr Club will travel to Portugal to participate in the final round of preparations, which will see several friendly matches in preparation for the new season.

The name “Al-Alami” has been linked with the signing of many coaches, led by the current coach of the Portuguese national team, the Spaniard Roberto Martinez, in addition to the coach of the Brazilian Palmeiras, the Portuguese Abel Ferreira.

Notably, Al-Nasr will compete for 4 titles next season, which are the Roshen League, the Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, the Saudi Super Cup, in addition to the AFC Champions League for the elite.
