Nigel Farage announced that he earned £270,000 for gold promotions

UK reform leader Nigel Farage has received £270,000 for a gold bullion ad – his biggest payout since becoming an MP.

In a list of MPs’ demands, Farage announced that the payment from Direct Bullion would be for four hours of work per month over a three-month period.

Labor chairman Anna Turley said: “Nigel Farage clearly has the Midas touch when he tries to line his pockets instead of doing his day job.

A spokesman for Farage said: “As previously reported and disclosed, Nigel Farage is a brand ambassador for Direct Bullion.”

Farage has previously booked payments from the company, including one in February 2025 of £91,200 and another in November 2025 of £135,000.

In the most recent figures, he was paid an estimated £18,402 for his work as a GB News presenter.

The MP for Clayton has faced growing questions about his finances – notably an undisclosed £5m gift he received from cryptocurrency investor and billionaire Christopher Harbourn.

Farage argued that he did not need to declare the gift because he received it before he was elected to Parliament and was not a political donation.

The Parliamentary Standards Commissioner is investigating whether he broke the rules.

Farage has previously pocketed more than £80,000 from recording personal messages for individuals on the Cameo website.

However, he said in March of this year pauses the service, citing safety reasons.

Members of Parliament are allowed to hold second jobs as MPs, but must register an income of more than £300 a year. They are not allowed to provide paid parliamentary advice.

“Rather than collecting payments on the back of gold sales, the focus should be on putting extra pounds back into the pockets of Clatton Organisations,” said Turley.
