The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled against US President Donald Trump’s order to restrict the birthright of all people born in the US.
The decision represents a major setback for Trump and his efforts to reform US immigration.
After taking office on January 20, 2025, he signed into law a bill to ban those born in the US to temporary or undocumented parents from only receiving US citizenship.
The decision of the nine-part Supreme Court agrees with the decision of the lower court Trump’s order is against US law and the decision of the Supreme Court on the matter.
