The player’s agent offers him to Milan
Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado continues to quietly explore options for his future after Italian media revealed his agent has offered him to AC Milan, who are looking to strengthen their midfield in the summer transfer window, with Barcelona valuing him at around €25 million.
According to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Casado’s agent, Jorge Mendes, took advantage of negotiations with the Milan club regarding another deal involving striker Gonzalo Ramos to present the possibility of signing the Catalan player to the Rossoneri management.
However, the Italian outlet say Milan’s priority is still on signing Norwegian Sporting Lisbon midfielder Morten Hulmand, although the high cost of the deal is the main obstacle to completing it, which could open the door to other options, including Casado.
At the moment, Casado appears to be in no rush to decide his future, with Barcelona still two weeks into pre-season and all indications are that he will make a final decision then, especially with so many options in front of him.
Interest in the player is not limited to Italy, as European and Saudi clubs have also expressed interest in him. Turkish side Besiktas have also taken steps to inquire about the terms of a possible transfer and have already contacted Mendes to clarify the status of the Barcelona player.
