Venezuela earthquake: Two boys rescued from rubble after days trapped

Officials said the coastal area of ​​La Guaira, where Carabaleda is located, was the worst hit.

Rescue efforts have been hampered by aftershocks, which are terrorizing residents.

Jesus Andeza, a 64-year-old bus driver, told BBC Mundo: “To be honest, it makes you feel nervous. Any little noise…it’s scary.”

Thousands of people are living in their cars or camping far from facilities like airports and golf courses.

The golf course at Carabaleda has become an emergency response center.

The green lawn where his perfect body used to work is now a makeshift hospital and donation center where residents who have lost everything are sifting through donated clothes and humanitarian aid boxes.

In another part of the golf course, next to a small lake, a piece of land has been set aside for helicopters carrying supplies and emergency personnel from Venezuela and abroad.

Around the golf course, the streets of Carabaleda – cracked and covered in rubble – are dusty and silent, interrupted only by heavy machinery and people searching among the ruins.
