Officials say 11 people have died in a civil plane crash in northeastern France


11 people have died after a civilian plane crashed in the northeastern French city of Tomblain, local authorities said.

The pilot and 10 sky divers died in the incident, the country’s national news channel BFM reported.

Police are reportedly urging people to stay away from the area around the airport in the Merte-et-Moselle department.
