RNLI ‘good guard of honor’ for newlyweds

The couple are both keen sailors with Looe Sailing Club and joined Looe RNLI as a team at the same time.

Amber’s father, Clive Palfrey, Looe RNLI Lifeboat Operations Manager, said how proud he was to see the crew march down to form the arch and pull out the surprise – it was a wonderful Father’s Day weekend.

Ian Foster from the lifeboat station said the crew were delighted to be a small part of the wedding.

He said: “Yellow wells are synonymous with the RNLI, with the iconic yellow well being part of the crew safety equipment of our longshoremen and boat crews with their dry suits.

He said the yellow hole symbolizes bravery, safety and the charity’s maritime mission.
