Microsoft’s test has also updated the Windows 11 Run menu with a black screen and more


In a blog post detailing the update, Microsoft says it decided to drop the Run menu’s “Browse” button — a shortcut to user files — after finding “very little use.” Instead, Microsoft added support for the new “~\” command, which leads to the user manual.

Microsoft says it created a new Run menu using code from the Command Palettea tool available through PowerToys that allows you to run commands, open websites, search files, and more. Windows 11 users can enable the new Run menu to go to Settings > System > Advanced and turn on the option.
