Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli have completed one of the most high-profile deals of the summer transfer window after reaching a definitive agreement to sign Eduard Spirian from Russian side Krasnodar in a bid to strengthen the squad in preparation for the new season.

According to reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Al-Ahli have terminated all arrangements with the Krasnodar club, short of reaching a full agreement with the player and his representatives, so that his move to the Roshen League is only a matter of time after all parties exchange contracts.

Romano has confirmed that Spertsyan’s transfer to Al-Ahly has been completed, noting that the player’s medical has already been scheduled in preparation for an official contract announcement in the next few days.

He added that rumors linking the player to Como were untrue, explaining that the Italian club had not held talks with Spetsian, while Al-Ahly were working to complete the deal based on the wishes of sporting director Rui Pedro Braz.

The Italian journalist stated that the value of the deal will reach 25 million dollars in order for Al Ahli to continue to strengthen their ranks with strong deals before the start of the season as they seek to compete in all domestic and continental leagues.

Spratsyan is considered one of the most remarkable stars of Armenian football in recent years after his outstanding performances for Krasnodar made him the target of several European clubs before Al-Ahli managed to settle the race and reach a final agreement to sign him.
