Hours before the showdown with Morocco, tragedy struck the Dutch star

What happened?

“Liverpool” and “Holland” striker Cody Jacobo and his partner Noah van der Bij announced the loss of their expected child during pregnancy, bringing down the curtain on the dream of fatherhood.

Noah published a message full of sadness on his Instagram page, in which he says: “It is with broken hearts that we share the heartbreaking news of the death of our little boy during pregnancy. Thank you for your love and support,” before announcing the deceased child’s name.

Tragedy strikes the Mills star at the height of his footballing brilliance at the 2026 World Cup, where he is performing exceptionally well with his country’s national team, and days before they face Morocco in the round of 32.

Jacobo Benoit has been in a relationship since December 2020 and they settled down together in England after his move to the Premier League and today they are facing the most difficult emotional test that two parents can go through.
