World Athletics president Sebastian Coe said the organization “will not stifle innovation” after the controversy over the so-called ‘super shoe’.

The first super shoe to weigh less than 100 grams, Adidas claims their technology improves running economy by 1.6%.
But any runner willing to benefit will have to pay around $500 (£450) to road test the product.
“Yes, shoes play a role, but not the biggest part,” Ko says.
“The biggest part is the mentality of the athletes, the physicality of the athletes, the world-class coaching, the world-class programs that are now being run by the federations to support their athletes. It’s all part of improved performance.”
Saway shaved more than two minutes off his personal best in London, attributing his improvement to running around 200 kilometers per week at altitude.
Its progress was also aided by the development of energy. The Kenyans consumed 115 grams of carbohydrates per hour during the run, after a breakfast of two slices of bread with only honey and tea.
