A unique gift and a decisive message… Mustafa Schubert opens his heart after passing the qualification

Mostafa Shubert, the goalkeeper of the Egyptian national team, expressed his joy in connection with the draw against Iran and the qualification for the 32nd round of the 2026 World Cup.

Egypt drew 1-1 with the Iranians in the third and final round of the group stage, ending their campaign in second place in the group with five points behind leaders Belgium, who were level on points with them but superior on goal difference.

With this result, in the 32nd round, the Egyptian national team sets a date with the Australian national team, which occupies the second position in the fourth group.

Mustafa Shubert said in his statements to the channels. beIN Sports:“Thank God, it was a very difficult match against the Iranian national team. I dedicate the penalty kick to my father Ahmed Shubert and my mother.”

Shubert saved the penalty shot by Mehdi Taremi, the striker of the Iranian national team, repeating the achievement of Essam El-Hadari, who scored a penalty shot at the 2018 World Cup.

He added: “The last minutes of the match were very difficult, especially since we didn’t know the results of the other matches, and we didn’t take into account the second place, but in the end what God chose for us was good.”

He continued. “We put in a lot of effort throughout the match and thank God, may God give us success, especially in the last difficult minutes and in light of the injuries sustained by a number of players.”

“We will study the Australian team well. The fact that they have qualified for this stage alone confirms that they are a team that deserves all the respect and tomorrow we will start preparing for it as best we can.”
